
You are pursuing postdoctoral studies and are in a precarious financial situation.
If you meet the following eligibility criteria, you may be eligible to postpone the student debt you contracted under the Loans and Bursaries Program or the Loans for Part-Time Studies Program.
To be eligible under this measure, your maximum gross monthly income must not exceed the amount specified for the situation that applies to you.

For each additional child, add another $240 to the maximum income.
If your salary is paid on a weekly basis, multiply it by 4.33 to obtain your gross monthly income.
If your salary is paid every two weeks, multiply it by 2.16.
You must send us the Application to Postpone the Repayment of a Student Loan Debt (Postdoctoral Studies) (
35 ko) form, duly completed.
If you are a bursary recipient, you must provide an attestation from the organization that issued you the bursary.
If you did not receive a bursary, you must submit proof of your income (e.g. a copy of your employment contract) and a document from your educational institution certifying that you are pursuing postdoctoral studies.
For each 12-month study period, you must submit a new application in order to renew your eligibility under this measure.
