Policy on Privacy

Thank you for visiting our Web site and finding out about our policy on privacy. For Aide financière aux études (AFE), personal information is confidential.

Cookies

AFE does not write permanent cookies onto your hard disk. However, when a temporary cookie is required for navigation with ASP (Active Server Pages), it is entered in random access memory and automatically erased when you leave our Web site and your Web browser.

Automatic Exchange of Information

You should be aware that, as soon as you access the AFE Web site, information (domain name, type of browser, etc.) is automatically exchanged between your computer and our server.

This information does not allow you to be personally identified; it is gathered solely to meet the technological requirements relating to Internet navigation and is used for statistical purposes (e.g. to keep a record of the number of visitors and the pages visited most often). That information cannot be disclosed to anyone.

When you fill out a form on-line, you must ensure that no one sees the information you are entering. Furthermore, never disclose your password or the data serving to identify you to anyone. The confidentiality of your personal information depends on it.

Using Our On-Line Services

When you use our on-line services (e.g. clicking on On-Line Access to Your File), you will be asked to enter personal information such as your name, address and telephone number. We need this information in order to identify you and will use it strictly for processing the forms you send us (application form, etc.).

Our on-line services are secure thanks to data encryption, which ensures that your personal information remains confidential.

Transmitting Personal Information to Us

  • the fact that a reply is obligatory, or that it is optional
  • the consequences for the person concerned or, as the case may be, for the third person, in the case of a refusal to reply
  • the rights of access and correction provided by law
