Deemed to be pursuing full-time
You are deemed a full-time student if you are studying parttime, you are enrolled in at least 20 course hours per month and you meet one of the following criteria:
- You are a single parent and
- you are living with your child who is under age 12 as of September 30th of the current award year
or
- you are living with your child who is under age 21 as of September 30th of the current award year, and your child is a student with a major functional disability or mental disorder.*
- You have a spouse and
- you are living with your child who is under age 6 as of September 30th of the current award year
or
- you are living with your child who is under age 21 as of September 30th of the current award year, and your child is a student with a major functional disability or mental disorder.*
- You are at least 20 weeks pregnant.
- You have a major functional disability.
- You are participating in the Réussir program of the Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale
If you and your spouse are students, only one of you can be deemed to be a full-time student during the award year in question.
