A new tab has been added to your file
Select the Submit a document tab.
At a glance, see which files require follow-up
Check the Files pending section to see if you need to submit any documents. If there are no files pending, no documents are required.
Select a file in the left-hand column to learn which documents to submit. As soon as you click on a file, the list of categories of documents to provide is displayed in the right-hand column. To learn which documents are needed in each category, check the category’s link in the Details about documents to be provided column. Since you may be required to provide more than one document, it will be useful for you to note the precise names of required forms or supporting documentation. You need to provide the documents that pertain to your particular situation and are solely responsible for determining which ones to submit.
Go to the Upload a Required Document screen
If you have saved all the documents you need on your computer, click on the Upload button.
The Upload a Required Document screen is now displayed, again showing again the list of required document categories. You will need to attach at least one file in each category of documents.
Now click on the paper clip icon to attach a file in a given category.
Go to the Attach Files screen
Select the desired file in your computer or work station then click on Add to the List. The selected file now appears in the list of files to attach.
Once all the desired files have been added to the list, you can attach them to the category of your choice by clicking on the Attach button in the lower right corner of the window.
As each file is accepted, you will see the following message: “Your file has been added to the list.”
The following file formats are accepted:
- Graphic Image Format (GIF)
- Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) or (JPG)
- Portable Document Format (PDF)
- Portable Network Graphics (PNG)
- Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) or (TIF)
Individual files can be no larger than 2 megabytes (2 MB).
The total individual batch size limit is 30 MB.
Go back to Upload a Required Document
When all desired files in the document category have been attached, click on Upload.
Only provide the requested documents and do it as soon as possible. If you already provided a required document, do not resubmit it.
Important! When you click on Upload, all files that were attached during your session will be uploaded at the same time. You should also know that as soon as one or more files have been uploaded in a given document category, you will no longer be able to subtract or add files to that category. All files needed for a given document category must be submitted to us at one time. As soon as Aide financière aux études receives even one document, it presumes it has everything it needs to process your file in that category.
If your upload is successful, the following message will be displayed: “Your documents have been uploaded.”
Check the Submit a Document tab in your online file on a regular basis.
If the files that you upload in a given document category meet the needs for processing your file, that category will no longer appear in this tab.
However, you can still check the list of documents you submitted to Aide financière aux études and which are taken into account for processing your file. They are shown in the Received Documents section of the Your File tab.
To replace a document that was already provided or provide a new document in a category that no longer appears in your file, choose the Submit a Document on a Voluntary Basis option in the upper right-hand corner of the Submit a Document tab.
